INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Ethical Research Collaboration, or www.authorshipethics.com

The purpose of this Online Supplement (OS) is to foster and support ethical collaborative research practices in the context of the academic health sciences. While we start with authorship ethics with good reason, additional sections will be added in future.

We will introduce the authorship guidelines used by most leading health journals.  We will then explore their limitations and how factors such as culture, power, and relationships can complicate the application of these guidelines in practice.  Throughout this OS you will encounter activities to support your understanding and practical tools to support your collaborative research practice.
